Unforgotten
Poem challenge in ten minutes, no edits. I thought I’d give it a go. @Beth Kempton thanks for the prompt.
I never forget the first hint of spring,
The scent of your clothes,
Or the sway of poppies in the breeze.
The glisten of pebbles on the shore,
The weight of the boxes of my newly printed book,
The confusion of the mother giving birth
Or the sound of rain on the roof.
The flowers I photographed before the drought;
The before and after of life without rain.
The before and after of publishing a book.
These bridges themselves, they disappear,
But we remember the views either side or from the top
Loves unforgotten, seal the soul
And comfort us
The rules were: poem called 'Unforgotten', with no edits in ten minutes. Well, maybe I did edit this version, the version in notes was ten minutes, I put a timer on! This version was done inside fifteen minutes in total. I promise. I reckon that’s good enough. A writer who doesn’t edit?? Find me one ;)
…..
Got ten minutes??
How about
or , , or having a go too? I’d love to see what you write too. Love your stuff. As Barrie, says, let’s work together…Sorry, I edited the title, as I was repeating myself!! Haha

Love it. Xx
