I sat in my morning seat
Of limestone
With its two wave like
Curving buttock moulds
And breathed in
The still air.
The sky was a wholesome blue
And the birds were all a song.
I felt as if I had drunk summer.
No turning back now, the roast begins.
Like bubbles that float up the fluted glass,
The first days are perfection.
I breathe in deep again
I want to breathe it in even deeper
If only I knew how,
I want the breath to reach my feet
To stretch to my toes.
The vacant indescribable scent of zen
A sense of warmth and comfort reaches my brain
An intoxicating lightness
Of summer, I get my fix, I smile
Lift my shoulders.
Memories return in an instant of summer fun.
A sea of vines stretches in front of me
Swimming over the contours
Growing so fast, budding with summer promise.
They are the embodiment
Of the love of life
And the birds
I could swear
Are as happy
As me
Sounds idyllic ☀️
