I love this clash of colour!…
Addictive colours, curdling in the golden hour.
A smoky green of morning mist greets the tiniest ballet slipper pinks
They dance on flamingo stems.
There’s a blush of bubblegum pink, a flash of magenta, a second’s flush of fuscia. Their colour steals my attention, silently persuasive,
Under the radar they tug at the soul.
Awaking you.
Before sunrise, a swindle of scarlet,
Guilty. Dragging me out of bed, robbing me of sleep.
Under their spell, I hunt crimson in the mafia hour.
Crimson on pink on green on mist on the soul.
I see your power. In the spring it will be poppies.
Turning in a circle. Chiming in our ears, calling us like an old village clock tower.
Red to green to pink to green. You make me happy. It was meant to be, my velvet obsession, even though you rob me of sleep in this mafia hour.
