L o o k i n g out the window, Head tilting upwards, Eyes search for stars. There you are generous moon. You make us smile in wonder Where would we be without you? Though I can’t read your mind It’s enough to know W i n t e r would be summer, Spring would be fall And night would be blind. All the birds are scholars of your brail Swallows read your ocean tides, And without you they would fail. The screech of an o w l As it hunts to this symphony of the moon. Lands and turns to look at me From the crumbling, brick chimney just a bit above Then our faces gently tilt up to look together at the moon Where would we be without you? Benevolent moon.
A short piece again this week. It has been busy. Exhibition of my photos ends in about a week and Tuesday selling books in the biggest book event Barcelona has ever known. It was truly book fever. An amazing sight and vibe. Millions of book lined the streets. So uplifting to see a passion for books on such a scale in this modern day.
I will be back with more. in fact I’m looking forward to a few quieter weeks ahead. This year has been racing too fast for me. I enjoy the slow lane. Well, have a good weekend. Early wishes I know. But I always try to write on Thursdays…Heavy skies here and rain promised. I so really hope so. It would be so nice to have a shower without feeling guilty for using the water!!
Thanks for reading. I’m so happy you passed by.
Love those brail- reading birds! Xx thank you
Beautiful words about the moon PIpp, I really hope you can slow down a little now… you’ve been in too gear for so long! The rain has already started here, not that we need it mind..🙃
Have a great weekend lovely xxx
